Job summary

Brightcitytalent is seeking an experienced Sugar Processing Subject Matter Expert to join the Malalane sugar and milling team, with a passion for training and development. This role is ideal for a production supervisor or superintendent ready to transition into Learning & Development, focusing on WSP, curriculum design, and competency-based training.

On site in Malelane, you will drive compliance with the Skills Development Act, assist HR with onboarding, and build a robust talent pipeline

Qualifications

Must have strong background in the sugar industry.
Minimum 5 years of technical production experience with supervisory exposure.
Experience as Sugar Process Trainer or passion for upskilling in skills development is advantageous.
Grade 12 and a relevant technical tertiary qualification.
OD ETDP certification and Assessor/Moderator accreditation are advantageous.

Responsibilities

L&D Strategy & Execution: Compile and oversee WSP implementation for Sugar Processing Teams.
Training & Curriculum Design: Develop competency-based training, manuals, modules and deliver technical training interventions.
Assessment & Compliance: Assess training, maintain skills matrices, ensure compliance with relevant acts.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Manage facilitators/service providers, support onboarding, build talent pipelines.
