Job summary

Brightcitytalent in Malalane, South Africa, seeks an experienced Sugar Processing Subject Matter Expert to lead L&D within the sugar and milling team. This role suits a production supervisor transitioning into learning and development.

You will design training curricula, conduct competency analysis, deliver technical training, and ensure compliance with the Skills Development Act through effective stakeholder and vendor management on site.

Qualifications

• Strong background in the Sugar Industry.
• Minimum 5 years of technical production experience in sugar processing.
• Experience as a Sugar Process Trainer or demonstrated passion for training and mentoring.
• Grade 12/Matric and a relevant technical tertiary qualification.
• OD ETDP certification, Assessor/Moderator accreditation; knowledge of AgriSETA/EWSETA.

Responsibilities

• L&D strategy and execution: implement the Workplace Skills Plan for Sugar Processing Teams.
• Training and curriculum design: develop manuals, online modules, and technical training.
• Assessment and compliance: monitor training, maintain skills matrices, ensure compliance with Acts.
• Stakeholder and vendor management: supervise facilitators, support onboarding, drive talent pipeline.
