Placements24 is seeking a skilled Power Distribution Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize electrical distribution networks in Vereeniging. You will manage substations, feeders, and protection schemes, ensuring reliable and efficient power supply for facilities and clients.

The role requires at least 7 years in power systems engineering, strong knowledge of SCADA, protection relays, and experience with PSS/E or ETAP. A Pr.Eng. with ECSA is highly desirable, with a hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in power systems engineering focusing on distribution networks.
• Pr.Eng. with ECSA is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, install, and maintain distribution systems including substations and feeders.
• Conduct load forecasting and capacity planning for network stability.
• Develop strategies for grid modernization and renewables integration.
• Perform fault analysis and minimize outages.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
