Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Subsea Engineer to contribute to offshore hydrocarbon projects from the Upington hub. You will lead the design, installation, and operation of subsea systems, collaborating with project teams and offshore personnel to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical/ocean engineering, at least seven years in subsea environments, and proficiency with subsea hardware, control systems, and installation procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Ocean Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of subsea engineering experience in offshore environments.
• Proficiency in subsea hardware design, installation techniques, and control systems.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify subsea production systems (trees, manifolds, pipelines, control systems).
• Develop installation procedures and support offshore installation and commissioning activities.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized Subsea Engineer to contribute to their offshore projects based out of the Upington hub, serving regional offshore operations. This role focuses on the design, specification, installation, and operation of subsea equipment and systems used in hydrocarbon production. You will work closely with project teams, vendors, and offshore personnel to ensure the successful execution of subsea infrastructure development and maintenance. This is a critical technical role within the Offshore Oil & Gas sector, requiring expertise in complex underwater systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and specify subsea production systems, including trees, manifolds, pipelines, and control systems.
• Develop installation procedures and support offshore installation and commissioning activities.
