Placements24 is seeking an experienced Subsea Engineer to join a remote, offshore-focused team. You will contribute to the design, installation, and operation of subsea production systems for major offshore projects, leveraging simulation tools to optimize performance in deepwater environments.

You will work with a global, remote-first team of engineers and project managers, ensuring compliance with industry codes and delivering reliable subsea solutions from East London to international

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Ocean Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of subsea engineering experience in offshore Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with subsea design software and FEA tools.
• Strong knowledge of subsea production systems, pipelines, and marine operations.
• Experience with offshore project management and installation challenges.
• Excellent communication in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyse, and specify subsea equipment (trees, manifolds, pipelines, control systems).
• Develop installation procedures and support offshore field developments.
• Perform hydrodynamics, structural integrity, and thermal analyses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and company specifications.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting subsea infrastructure.

About the Role

You will collaborate with a global, remote-first team of engineers and project managers, leveraging advanced simulation and design tools to overcome complex challenges in deepwater environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and specify subsea equipment , including christmas trees, manifolds, pipelines, and control systems.
• Develop installation procedures and support offshore execution of subsea field developments.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations related to hydrodynamics, structural integrity, and thermal analysis of subsea components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., drilling, production, integrity) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and company specifications for subsea operations.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing subsea infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in subsea engineering , with a strong focus on offshore Oil & Gas projects .
• Proficiency with subsea design software and FEA tools.
• Solid understanding of subsea production systems, pipeline engineering, and marine operations.
• Experience with project management principles and offshore installation challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment .
