Job summary

SENET seeks a Study Manager to join our EPCM project team in Johannesburg. The role focuses on providing comprehensive management of multiple studies, ensuring timely and compliant study reports to the client's satisfaction.

You will oversee study schedules, budgets, and deliverables, while maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating with engineering and operations teams to meet NI-43-101/JORC and other standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in mining and mineral processing plant project development environment.
• Experience in the study management environment within an EPCM project house or mining company, with knowledge of NI-43-101/JORC requirements.
• Experience in technical report writing and familiarity with capital estimating standards (AACE advantageous).

Job description

SENET is seeking a Study Manager to join our EPCM project team. The key focus of this position will be to provide overall management to various studies, ensuring that the studies are efficiently and effectively managed, resulting in a completed study report that is to the satisfaction of the client. The study manager is expected to manage study schedule, budget and ensure that the deliverables meet the necessary levels of standards required for the level of study. In addition, the manager is expected to maintain good client relationship.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Chemical/ Metallurgical Engineering
• ECSA registration (PrEng or working toward it preferred)
• Registration with any of the institutions SAIMM; AuIMM etc

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years' experience of Project management in mining and mineral processing plant project development environment, including experience in the management of numerous projects through their complete cycles from initiation to close-out
• Minimum 10 years' experience within an EPCM project house / or Mining company in the study management environment. c/w proficiency in managing all levels of study from concept to feasibility phases complete with knowledge of NI-43-101/JORC requirements.
• Experience in technical report writing.
• Knowledge of capital estimating standards such as AACE will be an advantage
• Knowledge in engineering design and detailed mining and processing engineering projects will be an advantage
