Placements24 is recruiting a hands-on Structural Steel Fabricator Supervisor in Cape Town, Western Cape. You will lead the fabrication workshop, read complex drawings, manage timing, ensure safety, and drive quality across all structural steel components.

You will mentor a skilled team, optimise workflows, coordinate with project managers and site teams, and uphold stringent quality and safety standards on multiple projects throughout the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role within structural steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret complex structural drawings and blueprints.
• Strong leadership, communication and safety focus in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the structural steel fabrication workshop in Cape Town.

Requirements

• Proven experience in structural steel fabrication, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In‑depth knowledge of various welding processes, steel fitting, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret complex structural engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication tolerances.
