About the Role

Our client, a prominent construction company undertaking significant infrastructure projects in the Nelspruit region, is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Welder. This role is essential for ensuring the integrity and quality of structural steel components used in various construction projects, including commercial buildings and industrial facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality welds according to specifications, maintaining safety standards, and working efficiently to meet project deadlines. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, attention to detail, and expertise in various welding techniques. Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations on structural steel components using various welding processes (e.g., MMAW, MIG/MAG, TIG).
• Read and interpret structural steel drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Ensure welds meet required quality standards, strength, and adherence to codes.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, fitting, and cleaning metal surfaces.
• Operate welding equipment safely and maintain it in good working condition.
• Inspect welds for defects and perform necessary repairs.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and site-specific safety procedures in Nelspruit .
• Work effectively as part of a construction crew, coordinating with other trades.

Requirements
