Placements24 is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Detailer to produce shop drawings and 3D models for fabrication and erection of steel structures, mainly supporting projects in Paarl, South Africa. The role involves translating architectural and engineering designs into precise detailing and collaborating with engineers and project managers.

You will use Tekla Structures or similar software, review drawings for accuracy, generate BOMs and CNC data, and maintain orderly drawing records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer.
• Proficient in 3D detailing software such as Tekla Structures or Advance Steel.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and architectural plans.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.

About the Role

Our client requires a skilled Structural Steel Detailer to produce detailed fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel projects, primarily supporting work in the Paarl area, but performed remotely. This role is essential for translating architectural and engineering designs into precise instructions for steel fabricators and erectors. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and constructability, utilizing advanced detailing software to produce high-quality shop drawings and 3D models. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for an experienced detailer.

Key Responsibilities
