Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Draughtsperson to join the Nelspruit team. You will produce accurate drawings and 3D models from engineer specifications, translating design concepts into precise construction documentation for fabrication and erection teams.

In a hybrid working model, you will collaborate with the engineering department in Mpumalanga to support project delivery, focusing on clarity and technical detailing of structural elements.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or Draughting.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Structural Draughtsperson.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, or similar 3D modeling software.
• Understanding of structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural drawings, plans, sections, and details using CAD software.
• Create 3D models of structural components and assemblies as required.
• Ensure drawings adhere to engineering standards, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with structural engineers to clarify design intent and resolve drafting issues.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings where required.
• Maintain drawing registers and manage revisions effectively.

About the Role
