Placements24 is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Detailer to produce shop drawings and 3D models for fabrication and erection of steel structures, mainly supporting projects in Paarl, South Africa. The role involves translating architectural and engineering designs into precise detailing and collaborating with engineers and project managers.

You will use Tekla Structures or similar software, review drawings for accuracy, generate BOMs and CNC data, and maintain orderly drawing records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer.
• Proficient in 3D detailing software such as Tekla Structures or Advance Steel.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and architectural plans.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.

Responsabilités

• Create detailed shop drawings, erection plans, and connection details for structural steel components using Tekla Structures or similar software.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness of steel detailing.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to resolve design issues and ensure constructability.
• Generate material lists (BOMs) and CNC data for fabrication.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and project specifications.
• Maintain organized project files and manage drawing revisions effectively.
