Job summary

Optential Consulting seeks a Warehouse and Logistics Manager in Cape Town to lead end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations. You will optimize order processing, invoicing, inventory accuracy and ERP-based workflows, ensuring OTIF deliveries and cost-effective transport.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate order tracking, delivery scheduling, bookings, POs and invoices.
• Monitor order statuses and provide updates to teams and customers.
• Manage logistics network including outsourced transport and ensure cost competitiveness.
• Engage with customers and distribution centres to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate transport of raw materials to packers and warehouses.
• Oversee full warehouse function (own and outsourced SG) to ensure stock accuracy.
• Maintain stock levels to fulfill orders while meeting stock days targets.
• Manage CHEP account and reconcile regional stock balances.
• Implement warehouse SOPs and safety protocols to reduce losses.
• Ensure damages/stock loss are minimised with proper controls.
• Prepare and process shipping and operational invoices.
• Support Finance with billing accuracy and documentation submission.
• Maintain records of deliveries, shipments, returns, PODs and GRVs.
• Capture movements in ERP to ensure seamless stock and invoicing flow.
• Review transport invoices before processing.
• Control exports from SA including Commercial Invoices, Packing List, BOL/AWB and COI.
• Ensure exports leave the premises on time.
• Track and capture organic movement on Mass Balance.
• Keep Mass Balance up to date.
• Maintain full paper trail for organic products.
• Weekly SOH reports and flag stock-out issues.
• Monthly stock on hand, ageing and distribution reports for management.
• Compile warehousing and distribution files for management review.
