Job summary

MRI Software in Cape Town seeks a Project Scoping Specialist to define client engagements, craft Statements of Work and service estimates, and support proposals post-sales. You’ll balance customer success with delivery feasibility and work with global teams across Sales, Professional Services, Product and Delivery.

The role requires commercial judgment, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration, with a hybrid work pattern including three days from home per week and UK business hours for

Qualifications

• Strong commercial awareness balancing customer, delivery and business objectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex requirements.
• Strong written communication for professional customer-facing docs.
• Excellent stakeholder management across multiple functions.
• Ability to identify, assess and communicate delivery, operational and commercial risks.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce Professional Services Statements of Work across MRI products and services.
• Create accurate services estimates with assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, risks and scope boundaries.
• Translate requirements into clear consultancy and implementation engagements.
• Ensure proposals reflect delivery approaches, timelines and resource needs.
• Assess commercial viability of engagements, identifying risks and delivery challenges.
• Challenge ambiguities and improve proposal quality and delivery success.
• Support contract discussions, SOW reviews and proposal redline activities.
• Position opportunities for successful delivery balancing customer expectations and commercial objectives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Consulting, PM, Product and Delivery teams across regions.
• Promote consistency and quality across all proposals and SOWs.
• Contribute to estimation governance, service catalogues, templates and frameworks.
• Help improve implementation methodologies, governance processes and delivery best practices.
