Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the technical design across the SDLC within the financial services context. You will drive enterprise architecture alignment, identify system deficiencies, and implement cost-effective, scalable solutions.

Collaborating with the Enterprise Architect Team, you will translate complex business requirements into robust designs, conduct risk analyses, and contribute to governance and standards while mentoring team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Bachelor of Commerce (Informatics) required.
• Minimum of five to eight years experience in software or solutions development and design within the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates cost consciousness and awareness of personal contribution to costs and productivity.
• Identifies and escalates potential risks that may lead to increased costs.
• Implements customer service solutions demonstrating shared values.
• Manages and takes accountability for Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) outcomes for customer service delivery across area of responsibility.
• Investigates and understands customer needs to enable delivery of a quality service.
• Keeps stakeholders well informed of design status and acts as liaison between Portfolio Manager, Project Manager and Systems Analyst.
• Leads the technical design phase of the SDLC and discusses architecture decisions.
• Assists with gap analysis and business cases including cost and effort analysis.
• Delivers high-level and detailed Solutions Architecture designs.
• Translates opinions and recommendations into technically sound knowledge.
• Applies industry trends to improve applications.
