Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an API Architect to design API products using a service-centric approach and orchestrate multiple APIs for new digital offerings. You will lead architecture across enterprise APIs, ensuring governance, security and scalability in a FinTech context.

Experience in multi-layered architectures, cloud and headless patterns is essential, with a track record delivering complex enterprise systems and leading teams through architectural processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Systems / B Sc Computer Science (or similar).
• 7-10 yrs IT experience with architecture, analysis and design.
• 5+ yrs delivering enterprise-class systems and SDLC governance.
• Experience in FinTech, payments and security-focused architecture.
• Lead a team through architectural development processes.

Responsibilities

• Create data, application and technology architectures for enterprise APIs.
• Serve as primary solution architecture authority for enterprise APIs.
• Develop roadmaps and blueprints for service enabling APIs and platforms.
• Translate business requirements into effective solutions with minimal customization.
• Engage stakeholders to align proposed solutions.
• Provide guidance during RFIs, RFPs and project teams.
