Qualifications

• Matric with two years’ purchasing experience.
• Experience buying in manufacturing or signage.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with procurement software.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Technically minded and passionate about the industry.
• Highly organized; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Researching and identifying reliable suppliers for signage materials and components.
• Negotiating favourable terms and pricing with vendors.
• Collaborating with design and production teams to understand technical requirements.
• Tracking inventory levels and maintaining procurement records.
• Developing procurement strategies to optimize cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate best pricing.
• Process requisitions and update management on order status.
• Update inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Coordinate with inventory team, management and stockroom for orders.
• Assess quality of stock and escalate discrepancies to suppliers and management.
• Ability to travel.
• Assist Project Managers with technical advice.
• Communicate time delays on stock with factory manager.
• Source new suppliers.
• Attend to ADHOC projects as required by Management.
• Adhering to high ethical and professional standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure workspace is kept neat.
