Alvarez & Marsal in Johannesburg seeks a Manager to lead operational and enterprise risk engagements. You will design integrated risk frameworks, identify principal risks, and embed risk libraries across the organization.

The role involves connecting risk across strategic, financial, regulatory and technology domains, and delivering tangible risk insights to leadership. You will also guide RCSA workshops, implement risk appetite statements, and drive governance and assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, risk management, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience across operational and enterprise risk management, internal audit or consulting.
• Hands-on ownership of a risk framework components such as taxonomy, registers and KRIs.
• Experienced in running RCSAs and testing controls for design and operating effectiveness.
• Experience with risk appetite statements and board-level risk reporting.
• Familiarity with ISO 31000 and related regulatory expectations.

Responsabilités

• Lead ORM and ERM engagements end-to-end including framework design and remediation.
• Design and embed integrated risk frameworks linking principal risks to taxonomy and risk libraries.
• Lead top-down enterprise risk identification across strategic, financial, regulatory and tech risks.
• Lead Safety Culture assessments and related HSE engagements.
• Develop risk appetite statements and cascade into tolerances and KRIs.
• Facilitate RCSA workshops with process owners and map controls to risks.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls and agree remediation plans.
• Strengthen risk governance and reporting to executives and boards.
• Deliver assurance activities and independent review over major change programs.
• Engage with clients through meetings and presentations; manage client relationships.
• Coach junior team members and ensure quality of workpapers and evidence.
