Job summary

Pro Select Consulting in South Africa seeks a seasoned Retail Leasing Specialist to identify and secure strategic retail leasing opportunities across the group's brands. You will build strong relationships with landlords, developers and leasing agents and actively source new premises aligned with expansion goals.

You will monitor lease renewals, negotiate terms, and coordinate agreements, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely handovers and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail leasing or commercial retail property.
• Sound understanding of retail leasing processes, lease agreements and commercial property practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to engage professionally with landlords, property developers and leasing agents.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source retail premises and development opportunities aligned with expansion strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, developers and leasing agents.
• Monitor leasing reports and manage renewals within timeframes.
• Negotiate lease terms, renewals and opportunities.
• Coordinate lease agreements, offers to lease and heads of agreement.
• Support administration and coordination with Projects Department.
• Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity.
• Present opportunities and recommendations in property meetings.
• Collaborate with internal departments for seamless leasing processes.
• Coordinate handover of retail premises with Projects Department.
