Job summary

Astron Energy is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the Technical Department of the Operations Business Unit. You will oversee process support, process safety and design, FEI, the laboratory and control systems to optimise profitability, reliability and safe operation across the refinery.

The role sets strategic technical direction, governs asset integrity and catalyst management, drives capital projects through PPC stage gates, and ensures governance, compliance and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree with relevance to chemical/process engineering.
• Experience leading refinery technical teams and complex projects.
• Professional registration advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical governance across Process Support, Process Safety and Design, FEI, Laboratory and Control Systems.
• Drive profitability and asset reliability through strategic technical direction and KPI focus.
• Oversee integrity programs, capital projects, and regulatory compliance.
