Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a respected non-profit in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, to appoint a Program Development Manager who will shape new sustainable initiatives. The role emphasizes grant writing, fundraising, and strategic partnerships to expand impact in the Mossel Bay region and beyond.

The successful candidate will design innovative program strategies, secure multi-donor funding, and oversee early implementation while maintaining ethical standards and alignment with community needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in program development, grant writing and fundraising.
Proven success in developing and securing funding for new programs.
Exceptional proposal writing and English communication skills.
Experience in building partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead identification and assessment of new program opportunities.
Design innovative program strategies and frameworks.
Develop grant proposals and funding requests for donors.
Build relationships with funding partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for proposed programs.
Develop program budgets and work plans.
Oversee initial implementation of new programs.
Collaborate with internal teams for program integration and sustainability.
Monitor external funding landscape for grants.
Represent the organization at forums and meetings.
Ensure programs adhere to ethical standards and organizational values.
