Job summary

MyCareerCraft seeks an experienced procurement professional on a 3-year contract to negotiate and manage group purchasing contracts in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop procurement strategies and manage tender processes for new contracts and renewals.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field, 5–8 years in corporate procurement, and strong e-procurement experience. Travel to member institutions is frequent for this NGO-focused role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Management or equivalent.
• 5–8 years in a corporate procurement environment managing tender process.
• Experience with e-procurement, RFQ and supplier evaluation.
• NGO/NPO procurement experience.
• Preferential Procurement Policy Framework experience.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Experience evaluating suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Deadline-driven with good business processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive the E-tender and catalog system to define system needs.
• Lead tender evaluations and due diligence for awards.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and policies.
• Maintain cost-effective e-tender and catalog processes.
• Oversee procurement activities across purchasing and supply chain.
• Develop procurement policies, procedures and processes.
• Create cost savings from bulk buying and economies of scale.
• Provide management with relevant procurement reporting.
• Travel domestically to member institution sites as needed.
