Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Proficiency with purchasing software and MS Office.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Relevant qualification in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred.
• Familiarity with the Northern Cape local market is advantageous.
• Eligible to work in South Africa and reside near Upington for hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Process requisitions and create purchase orders per guidelines.
• Source and evaluate suppliers; obtain quotes and compare terms.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Maintain records of purchases, receipts, and invoices.
• Monitor stock levels and advise on material needs.
• Resolve issues with orders, deliveries, or invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities and expenditures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.
