Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town seeks an experienced procurement leader to own the hotel’s end-to-end procurement function, shaping strategy, governance and supplier relationships across Food & Beverage, Rooms, Engineering, IT and more.

You will lead a high-volume 349-room hotel operation, drive value through strategic sourcing, contract management and supplier performance, and develop the Procurement and Cost Control teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ progressive procurement or supply management experience.
• Be able to lead a procurement team or function for at least 3 years.
• Experience in large-volume hotel or hospitality procurement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the hotel’s end-to-end procurement function.
• Develop and implement procurement strategy, policies, and annual sourcing plan.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, RFQs, tenders and evaluations.
• Manage supplier performance, contracts, and master-data requirements.
• Ensure governance, compliance and ethical procurement practices.
