Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing of materials, parts and services within a fast-moving consumer goods environment. You will negotiate with suppliers, drive cost savings, and ensure timely delivery of spares and stock while maintaining accurate purchasing records.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in procurement/ supply chain and a degree in SCM or related field. FMCG background is preferred and the position emphasises strategic supplier relationships and data-driven

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiations.
• Experience in cost saving and procurement processes.
• FMCG exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate deals with suppliers and ensure compliant procurement processes.
• Drive supplier meetings and SLA discussions to optimize service levels.
• Maintain records, generate expenditure reports and manage stock.
• Source spares, consumables and technical parts at the lowest cost.
• Expedite lead times and manage supplier performance, with focus on savings.
