Job summary

One&Only Cape Town is seeking a Procurement and Cost Control Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory, receiving and cost control in our luxury hotel, reporting directly to the Director of Finance.

You will lead supplier selection, price negotiations, contract governance and ensure compliance with policies, while managing par stocks, cycle counts and stocktakes across stores and outlets. Strong leadership and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in business; procurement qualification advantageous.
• 2–4 years in a similar role with strategic sourcing and contract development.
• Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
• Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team.
• 5-star luxury hotel experience advantageous.
• Understanding of accounting terms and practices.
• Above-average Excel skills (not less than level 2).
• Fluent in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, purchasing, inventory management, receiving, stores, and cost control.
• Negotiate supplier terms and manage relationships and governance.
• Manage inventory, par stock levels, cycle counts, and stocktakes.
• Supervise receiving and stores operations; ensure ERP data accuracy and documentation.
• Support month-end inventory reporting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance and department heads to control costs and drive profitability.
