One&Only Cape Town is seeking a Procurement and Cost Control Manager to oversee procurement, purchasing, inventory management and cost control for the hotel, reporting to Finance. The role ensures departments are supplied with goods and operating materials, negotiates with suppliers, and maintains governance and audit compliance.

You’ll lead supplier selection, contract management, and ERP data integrity, while driving stock accuracy, cost of sales, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a business related field. Procurement qualification would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years working experience in a similar role, strategic sourcing and contract development.
• Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
• Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, be a team player and approachable.
• 5★ Luxury Hotel experience would be advantageous.
• Understanding of accounting terms and practices.
• Above average Excel skills (not less than level 2).
• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.

Responsabilités

• Oversee procurement, purchasing, inventory management, receiving, stores and cost control functions.
• Develop and implement procurement processes, negotiate prices and payment terms.
• Monitor market trends and maintain supplier relationships with HODs.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with governance procedures and audit standards.
• Manage supplier registrations, PO monitoring, price updates, and contract management.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and governance across Micros/ERP mappings.
• Lead inventory management, par stock, cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Investigate variances and ensure timely authorisation of movements and adjustments.
