Job summary

Commrisk Insurance Brokers is seeking a Partnership Development Manager in Johannesburg with national travel as required. You will own an established portfolio of partner relationships, drive commercial results and shape a newly defined function with executive sponsorship.

The role requires proven business development, strong negotiation skills and an ability to engage senior stakeholders. You will work across underwriting, claims and administration to ensure a superior partner experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated business development or strategic key-account management experience.
• Commercial acumen with deal economics and margin awareness.
• Senior-level relationship management with executive engagement.
• RE5 certification.
• Recognised short-term insurance qualification.
• Up-to-date CPD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single accountable owner of all existing partner relationships, with a structured cadence of joint business planning, service reviews and commercial reporting.
• Deliver against agreed annual GWP growth targets across the partnership book, with full accountability for net income to Commrisk.
• Retain and defend at-risk partnerships, including those subject to competitive tender or review.
• Build and convert a qualified pipeline of new partnership opportunities, and onboard new partners in line with the annual acquisition target.
• Structure and negotiate terms for new partnerships, including economics, exclusivity and service model design.
• Coordinate internal delivery across underwriting, claims and administration to ensure partners receive high-quality service.
• Report partnership performance to the MD and CEO on an agreed cadence.
