Job summary

Equate Recruitment South Africa is seeking an experienced Insurance Portfolio Manager to take over an existing broker/client portfolio. The role involves building strong relationships, pursuing new business, and providing ongoing client support.

Travel across provinces is required, with a focus on expanding the client base and achieving sales targets while maintaining professional relationships with brokers and clients.

Qualifications

• Matric and RE5 with a short-term commercial insurance qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience dealing with brokers and selling insurance.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle insurance or fleet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management: Take over an existing portfolio of brokers and clients and maintain relationships.
• New Business Development: Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and revenue.
• Relationship Building: Build long-term relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Client Support: Provide ongoing support and advice to brokers and clients regarding insurance products.
• Sales and Marketing: Promote and sell insurance products and meet sales targets.
• Travel: Regular travel to meet with brokers and clients and attend business development meetings.
• Problem-Solving: Address issues with brokers or clients while maintaining a professional relationship.
