Job summary

SAB in Empangeni is seeking an experienced Depot Operations Manager to develop and manage business and financial plans for depot operations. You will ensure resource management, stock availability, and safe, compliant operations while driving cost efficiency.

The role requires at least 6 years in logistics, distribution/warehousing and finance, with strong leadership and analytical skills. Applicants should hold a relevant tertiary qualification and be prepared to lead a team in a fast-paced

Qualifications

6 years of experience including management, logistics, distribution/warehousing and finance.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Analytical and financial evaluation abilities required.

Responsibilities

Develops, implements and manages business and financial plans and budgets.
Ensures resource management and achievement of business targets.
Oversees the Warehouse to ensure stock availability and quality.
Oversees the Distribution function to ensure planned volume targets are met.
Manages subordinates, monitors industrial relations and ensures compliance with legislative requirements and maintains a healthy industrial relations climate.
Oversees and controls cash management.
Manages ongoing performance and training and development of staff.
Ensures a safe and healthy working environment to meet required safety and legislative standards.
Ensures asset protection.
Negotiates and manages all service contracts e.g. cleaning, catering etc.
Optimise information systems within the Depot.
