Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Director to spearhead the operational strategy and execution in Richards Bay. This senior role drives performance, aligns operations with strategic goals, and leads large teams toward a culture of excellence and accountability.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in industrial operations and supply chain management, with a proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment and to mentor operational leaders across departments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of extensive experience in operations leadership, preferably within the industrial sector.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic operational plans that drive significant business improvements.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing large operational budgets and P&Ls.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's overall operations strategy to achieve long-term objectives.
• Oversee and manage production, logistics, quality assurance, and maintenance.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
• Implement performance management systems and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to operational leaders and teams.
