Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mine Planner for operations near East London, South Africa. You will develop and optimize open-pit and underground mine plans, translating geological models into executable schedules while ensuring safety, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead advanced mine planning using MineSight, Vulcan, and Deswik, collaborating with geologists, engineers and operations to maximize resource extraction and economic viability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in mine planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency with leading mine planning software packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update short-term and long-term mine plans for open-pit and underground operations.
• Utilize mine planning software to optimize layouts and production schedules.
• Conduct economic evaluations and propose strategies for efficiency.
