Job summary

Lusaphops in Johannesburg is seeking a Logistics Scheduler to join the Supply Chain Operations team. The role focuses on scheduling transport across the value chain, covering stock transport orders and customer deliveries, local and cross-border, while ensuring efficient use of resources, customer service and cost containment.

The successful candidate must be immediately available and will work with transporters, internal stakeholders, and clients to ensure seamless logistics execution.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Logistics (or similar).
• 5+ years in Logistics Scheduling, Dispatch or Expediting Control.
• Experience with loading/offloading methods in transport environments.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
• SAP TMS experience is advantageous.
• Strong scheduling, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule transport across the value chain, including stock orders and deliveries.
• Compile optimal loading and delivery schedules.
• Source capacity and allocate loads to transporters (own fleet and 3PLs).
• Generate SAP documentation and loading instructions.
• Ensure permits and supplier compliance with safety and rules.
• Monitor schedule execution and adapt to changes.
• Drive cost containment and service level improvements.
• Report on performance against targets.
