Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager for our client based in Centurion. You will oversee inventory control, optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and prevent stockouts by implementing robust systems and processes.

You will analyze stock data, forecast demand, and collaborate with procurement and sales to align inventory with business needs, driving efficiency and profitability in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of inventory management experience in large-scale logistics or retail environments.
• Proven ability to implement and manage advanced inventory control systems and WMS.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels across locations.
• Conduct physical and cycle counts to verify record accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Analyze turnover rates, lead times, and demand forecasts to inform purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment and manage vendor relationships.
• Implement and manage inventory control systems and technologies for accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and enforce inventory policies to minimize loss, obsolescence, and damage.
