Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead the security program from Kimberley, with hybrid work and remote capabilities. The role focuses on risk management, compliance, and protecting sensitive data across the enterprise.

You will develop and maintain security policies, manage a security team, and coordinate with auditors and regulators. A master’s degree and relevant certifications are required to drive the organization’s security strategy at a senior level.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security, CS, Business Admin, or related field.
• 8+ years in information security, with at least 3 years in management.
• Experience developing and managing comprehensive security programs.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, risk management and compliance.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Experience with incident response, BCM and disaster recovery planning.
• Ability to manage distributed teams in a hybrid work environment.
• CISSP, CISM or CRISC certifications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the comprehensive information security program.
• Oversee risk management activities including assessments, mitigations and incident response.
• Ensure compliance with laws and standards (e.g., POPIA, ISO 27001).
• Manage and mentor the information security team.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Oversee security awareness training for all employees.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Evaluate and implement security technologies to improve posture.
• Lead incident response efforts in security breaches.
