Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal to manage indirect spend across FMCG operations. You will source and procure non-manufacturing goods and services, negotiate favorable terms, and build strong supplier relationships to drive cost savings and value.

The role requires 4+ years of procurement experience and proficiency with SAP Ariba or Oracle Procurement, in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in procurement with indirect spend focus.
• Proven supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis experience.
• Strong procurement practices and market dynamics understanding.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect spend categories (MRO, packaging non-production, IT, marketing services, facilities management).
• Identify, onboard, and manage suppliers ensuring quality, cost, and ethical standards.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to achieve cost savings and value.
• Oversee supplier relationships, performance, and contract compliance.
• Monitor procurement metrics and spend analysis; ensure policy compliance.
