Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist focused on indirect spend to join its Vereeniging team. You will manage procurement for non-production goods and services, lead RFx processes, and develop sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and efficiency.

Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, ensuring policy compliance, and managing multiple spend categories while supporting the company’s financial performance and operational needs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of procurement experience, focusing on indirect spend.
• Experience in RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RQ) and supplier negotiations.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Business).
• Strong project management and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for indirect categories, ensuring value and quality.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect spend areas.
• Lead RFx processes and supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers of indirect goods and services.
• Monitor market trends for cost reductions and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and budget controls.
