Job summary

Zeitz MOCAA is seeking a Fundraising Manager to co-develop and execute the museum’s fundraising strategy, focusing on securing donations from local and international donors. The role emphasizes building and managing donor relationships, strategic planning, and high-quality proposal writing to sustain the museum’s programmes.

You will lead fundraising initiatives, collaborate with internal teams, and drive donor engagement through campaigns, events, and reports, contributing to long-term growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Honours degree in fundraising, development, communications, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement a strategic fundraising plan with clear income targets across donor categories.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure funding from individuals, corporates, trusts, foundations, and international donors.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing, prospective and lapsed donors for long-term engagement.
• Manage donor pipelines, identify new funding opportunities, ensure proposals align with priorities.
• Plan and coordinate campaigns, events, sponsorships, and partnerships with internal teams.
• Develop donor communications, provide impact reporting and donor recognition.
• Monitor performance against income targets, budgets and ROI; report progress and risks.
• Ensure timely donor acknowledgments and ongoing stewardship.
• Maintain accurate donor records and CRM tracking; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure effective fundraising operations.
