Job summary

Placements24 in Welkom, South Africa, is seeking a strategic Supply Chain Manager to optimize FMCG operations from production to customer. You will oversee procurement, warehousing, logistics, inventory control, and demand planning to drive efficiency and cost reductions.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in SCM and 7+ years of progressive experience, with strong leadership and ERP experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably FMCG.
Proven ability to develop and implement supply chain strategies that reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, inventory control, and demand planning.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all supply chain operations, including procurement, warehousing, logistics, and distribution for FMCG products in Welkom.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to minimize costs and ensure product availability.
Optimize transportation routes and logistics networks to reduce lead times and shipping expenses.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to improve demand forecasting accuracy and align production with market needs.
Implement and maintain robust supply chain performance metrics and reporting systems.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards for supply chain operations.
