Placements24 seeks a strategic Supply Chain Director in Durban to oversee sourcing-to-delivery operations in the FMCG sector. This senior leadership role focuses on optimizing logistics, inventory management, procurement and warehouse operations to support growth.

You will drive operational excellence, implement cutting-edge strategies, and lead a high-performance team to deliver cost-effective and reliable supply chain solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in SCM, Logistics, Operations Management or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in supply chain management with at least 5 years in a director-level role, preferably FMCG.
• Track record of optimizing supply chain processes, reducing costs, and improving delivery performance.
• Expertise in inventory management, demand planning, and logistics optimization.
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain planning software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Oversee all logistics, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management activities.
• Lead procurement efforts, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and ensuring a reliable supply of raw materials and finished goods.
• Implement and manage advanced supply chain technologies and systems to improve visibility and control.
• Foster strong relationships with key logistics partners and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices in supply chain operations.
