Job summary

Placements24 seeks a visionary Supply Chain Director in Durban to lead end-to-end supply chain strategy for a fast-growing FMCG unit. You will optimize inventory, warehousing, procurement, and logistics, while driving analytics and advanced technologies to improve forecasting and planning.

The role requires a Master’s in SCM and 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience, with a track record of cost savings and efficiency in complex networks.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in SCM, Logistics, or related field.
• 10–15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, FMCG preferred.
• Proven expertise in optimizing global and domestic supply chains.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, WMS, TMS and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic end-to-end supply chain vision.
• Optimize inventory, warehousing and distribution networks.
• Lead procurement strategies for high-quality materials at competitive prices.
• Oversee transportation and logistics for timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Implement advanced supply chain technologies and analytics for forecasting and planning.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers and stakeholders.
