Placements24 is seeking a Purchasing Manager for its Upington base. The role blends on-site collaboration with hybrid work flexibility to oversee sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery for production demands.

You will lead supplier relationships, manage contracts, and drive procurement strategies in a fast-paced FMCG environment, reporting to the Procurement Department. Strong negotiation and leadership are essential.

Formación

• 6–8 years in purchasing/procurement, FMCG preferred.
• Proven cost reductions and supply chain improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in SCM/Business.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing for raw materials, packaging, and supplies.
• Manage end-to-end procurement: supplier selection, negotiation, contracts, performance.
• Monitor market trends, prices, and supplier capabilities for cost savings.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and Logistics to meet needs and quality standards.
• Lead and mentor purchasing professionals; drive process improvements.
