You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, analyze market trends, and implement best practices to support production and profitability.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field, at least 3 years in procurement within FMCG, strong negotiation, analytical, and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote strategic tasks with on-site collaboration in Sandton, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities for raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and commodity prices to inform procurement strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and foster new partnerships.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., R&D, Production, Finance) to understand their procurement needs.
• Analyze procurement data to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
• Manage procurement activities from our Sandton, Gauteng office.
