Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a Finance Consultant to oversee monthly management accounts, close processes, cash flow, and regulatory compliance. You will develop and monitor KPIs, forecasts and dashboards across trading entities, while supporting audits and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has CIMA/CA(SA) or honours degree, with 3+ years in financial management, experience in import/export trading, and fluency in Afrikaans and English.

Qualifications

• CIMA or CA(SA) qualification.
• Honours degree required.
• 3 years' relevant experience advantageous.
• Import and export trading experience advantageous.
• Financial management experience within the SADC region and international markets advantageous.
• Foreign exchange and international payment experience advantageous.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly management accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage month-end closing processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee cash flow management and liquidity planning.
• Manage creditors, debtors and inventory-related financial activities.
• Support annual audits and ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and monitor financial KPIs across trading entities.
• Prepare financial forecasts, budgets and variance analyses.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and financial models.
• Assess financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with operational and finance teams to improve business performance.
