Job summary

Exceed HR and Recruitment seeks a Group Financial Manager (Operations) to lead financial management, reporting and governance across the Operations division in Stellenbosch. You will oversee month-end processes, ensure IFRS compliance and provide strategic guidance to executive and operational management.

The role requires CA(SA) or CIMA CGMA with 5–8 years of relevant experience, strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills, and a proven track record in leading finance teams

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or CIMA CGMA certification is essential.
• Minimum 5–8 years’ relevant financial management experience.
• Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, logistics or operational environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end reporting and consolidation across multiple entities.
• Ensure IFRS compliance, group policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to executive and operational management.
• Analyse financial performance, KPIs and operational efficiency.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and long-term planning.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, funding requirements and liquidity planning.
• Oversee inventory, fixed assets and capital expenditure controls.
• Evaluate investments, acquisitions and business expansion projects.
• Identify financial risks and strengthen internal controls and compliance.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Lead, mentor and develop finance teams across the division.
