Job summary

Absa is seeking a Senior Product Lead to own the strategy, performance and execution of a portfolio of digital channels within a connected product ecosystem. Translate enterprise strategy into a few high-impact product bets and drive them from problem definition through delivery, adoption and measurable business value.

The role carries end-to-end accountability rather than responsibility for individual delivery components.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Physical, Mathematical, Computer or Life Sciences is required.

Responsibilities

Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap and operating plan for the digital channel portfolio.
Drive revenue growth, digital sales, product penetration, active usage and customer retention.
Set portfolio-level OKRs and product economics; establish leading indicators and intervene when needed.
Lead Product Managers and foster a high-performance product culture focused on ownership and outcomes.
Make prioritisation decisions across customer value, commercial impact, feasibility, risk and speed-to-market.
Drive cross-functional execution across Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, Operations, Risk and Commercial teams.
Create an experimentation engine: launch, measure, learn and scale to deliver customer impact.
Maintain the channel operating rhythm with weekly reviews, roadmap decisions and release priorities.
Remove blockers and elevate only decisions requiring executive intervention.
Ensure the channel is secure, resilient, compliant, accessible and scalable.
Benchmark the product experience against category leaders and translate external practices into differentiators.
