Job summary

DP World Johannesburg seeks an experienced leader to manage forecasting, supply and planning activities within our warehouse facility, ensuring optimal delivery and stock levels while driving operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction. You will lead teams, define procedures, monitor progress, and coordinate milestones to meet service targets, regulatory requirements and cost goals.

Qualifications

• Up to 8 years of experience in a similar environment with at least 5 years operational leadership or specialist experience
• Proficient people management and development knowledge and / or skill
• Proficient budgeting and cost management knowledge and / or skill
• Proficient labour relations procedures knowledge and / or skill
• Proficient business and operations management knowledge and / or skill
• Proficient client/customer liaison knowledge and / or skill
• Proficient inventory management knowledge and / or skill
• Proficient distribution knowledge and / or skill

Responsibilities

• Define standard operating procedures and implement and manage end to end processes.
• Monitor and report on progress against operational plans and make adjustments where required.
• Formulate a plan which includes milestones and priorities to deliver on operational objectives.
• Plan, manage and monitor initiatives to ensure customer service excellence.
• Compile demand plans for various principal clients.
• Ensure optimal stock levels in a distribution centre.
• Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition and employee relations to ensure an optimal working environment.
• Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organisational values.
• Manage operational risk and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Manage, monitor and report on budget variances in order to maximise financial performance.
