Job summary

SET Consulting SA is seeking a Credit Controller to manage a debtors portfolio in Gauteng, Centurion. The role requires a hands-on, persistent individual who drives collections, reconciles accounts, and maintains accurate records while meeting monthly collection targets.

Key requirements include a Grade 12, a qualification in Credit Management or related field, 5+ years in credit control, and proficiency with Sage and Excel. The position is based on-site in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in credit control and debt collection.
• Experience working with accounting systems, preferably Sage.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and debits/credits reconciliation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated debtors portfolio and ensure timely collections.
• Proactively follow up on overdue accounts and secure payments.
• Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate collection notes.
• Resolve billing queries and escalate overdue accounts when needed.
• Provide updates on expected payments to support cash flow forecasting.
