Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Senior Construction Planner for a role based in Polokwane. You will develop, maintain, and optimize detailed construction schedules for complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and coordinating with project managers, site teams and stakeholders to create realistic timelines.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, at least 6 years in construction planning, and proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project, with a strong grasp of construction

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, preferably on large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequences and durations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed construction master schedules using advanced planning software.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to gather input and identify critical path activities.
• Analyze project progress against baseline schedules and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct constructability reviews and risk assessments related to scheduling.
• Prepare schedule-related reports, forecasts, and presentations for teams and senior management.
• Ensure coordination between trades to optimize sequencing and resource allocation.
