Stefanutti Stocks Inland is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Planner to lead the planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring of large-scale infrastructure projects. The successful incumbent will ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements, timelines, and commercial objectives while supporting efficient project execution. Nationwide Position (South Africa and Cross Border)
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
- Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), critical paths, and project baselines
- Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) schedules into a single master programme
- Align programmes with client milestones and contractual deliverables
Multidisciplinary Project Integration
- Coordinate planning across civil, geotechnical, renewables, roads, earthworks, and electrical disciplines
- Support planning activities for civils projects, including balance-of-plant construction
- Ensure seamless integration of construction activities across multiple disciplines
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report on project progress against approved schedules
- Identify deviations, delays, and risks, and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for management and clients
- Implement and manage earned value management (EVM) where applicable
Risk, Claims & Contractual Support
- Conduct delay analysis and support Extension of Time (EOT) claims
- Identify planning-related risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Support commercial teams with programme-related contractual matters (FIDIC or similar)
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, engineers, and clients
- Participate in progress and coordination meetings
- Provide strategic planning input to support successful project delivery

Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or related)
- Project Planning/Management certification (advantageous)
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in project planning within construction or EPC environments
- Experience working on large-scale multidisciplinary projects
- Strong understanding of South African construction and regulatory environment
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential)
- Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM)
- Experience with Microsoft Project and advanced Excel reporting
- Working knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract frameworks
- Understanding of project cost control and performance measurement
