Nedbank is seeking a Senior Compliance professional to advise on governance, risk and regulatory matters. You will shape compliance strategy, engage with senior stakeholders, and protect Nedbank’s reputation through robust controls.

The role emphasizes policy development, risk assessments, and clear reporting. You will ensure adherence to domestic and international legislation and support the business in minimising regulatory exposure.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in a Senior Compliance/Risk/Governance role.
• Experience implementing governance controls and risk assessments.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance reporting.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advise on compliance culture and educate on implications.
• Develop policies, procedures, frameworks and tools for compliance.
• Define governance frameworks and ensure good governance practice.
• Ensure committees operate according to required governance standards.
• Conduct compliance risk and control assessments (CRAs).
• Monitor and mitigate compliance risks and breaches.
